Psychotherapy

I currently have a limited number of therapy slots available, primarily for short-term treatments focused on improving sleep or reducing nightmares. Therapy is available online (through telehealth) for residents of Georgia and many other states (please see the bottom of this page for a complete list*).

I am considered an out-of-network provider for most health insurance plans. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. If we work together, I’d be happy to provide you with receipts (“superbills”) that you can submit to your insurance company. I recommend that all potential clients contact their insurance company before initiating therapy to find out more about their out-of-network reimbursement options. My rates are as follows:

75-minute intake evaluation: $325
30-minute therapy session: $130
50-minute therapy session: $215
60-minute therapy session: $260

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I): 6-8 Sessions

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is recommended by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine as the gold standard for the treatment of Insomnia Disorder. Research suggests that CBT-I works as well as or better than sleep medications for improving sleep quality and quantity. In therapy, you will learn techniques such as stimulus control, relaxation, and cognitive flexibility to improve your sleep. You will also receive personalized recommendations to improve your sleep efficiency based on your unique sleep-wake patterns. CBT-I is so much more than just sleep hygiene, and can be life changing for people who struggle with insomnia.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Nightmares (CBT-N): 4-6 Sessions

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Nightmares (CBT-N) is a short-term, evidence-based treatment designed to treat chronic, distressing nightmares. Whether the nightmares are caused by trauma or unknown factors, CBT-N can help through a combination of improving overall sleep quality while also targeting the nightmares directly. Therapy includes rescripting the nightmare to a dream with a new storyline as well as imagery rehearsal of the new dream.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or email hyltonjean@inflectpsychology.com.
